steve reed

   steve reed is a man among men: the best. he's from south-central and he's more than a great soundman and a great bass player, he's also a great person and the epitomy of the team player. he smokes. he's been working w/me as a soundman since 1989 though I first met him in the early 80s when he was the soundman at the anti-club up in hollywood. I even got him singing backup from behind the mixing board now, he's fantastic! he shares driving the van w/me on tour, taking the afternoon shifts. his dedication and thorough attention to craft are such an inspiration. I'm a lucky man to be working along side steve reed.
